Dear CCSNMMI Members-

SNM Annual Meeting, 2004, New Orleans, LA.
I hope my message finds you well. First, I want to express my sincere gratitude to our outgoing chapter president, Dr. Tom Anderson, for his leadership and dedication over the past year. It is an honor to serve as your president for the coming year, and I look forward to working together to advance our field.
This past weekend, we successfully concluded our Annual Spring Meeting in Oakbrook, Illinois. I want to extend my appreciation to Dr. Nael Khayyat and Aileen Staffaroni from Loyola University Medical Center for organizing such a fantastic educational symposium. Highlights from the meeting included discussions on future therapy agents, amyloid imaging, and setting up a Theranostics center, as well as the inaugural Dr. James Conway Pediatric Nuclear Medicine Lecture, delivered by SNMMI Immediate Past President Dr. Helen Nadel.
Looking ahead, I encourage you to mark your calendars for the SNMMI Annual Meeting, which will take place June 21st –24TH, 2025, in New Orleans, Louisiana. NOLA holds a nostalgic place in my heart, as it was where I attended my very first SNM(MI) meeting in 2004. At the time, I was a young technologist at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, thrilled to present my oral abstract on the newly FDA-approved Y90-Zevalin therapy. It was an unforgettable experience—my first research presentation, my first professional conference, and my first time in New Orleans, long before Hurricane Katrina changed the city’s landscape and before the Sunshine Act reshaped industry engagement. What a conference it was! I hope to see many of you at the meeting in NOLA this June!
While we will not be hosting an in-person Fall Meeting this year, we are excited to launch our Educational Webinar Series this fall. Our goal is to provide valuable insights into imaging and therapy best practices from a multidisciplinary perspective. If you have topics you would like covered or if you are interested in speaking, please reach out to the chapter with your suggestions.
Lastly, I want to take a moment to express my strong support for Dr. Giuseppe Esposito’s candidacy for SNMMI President. Having worked closely with Dr. Esposito on the SNMMI Board of Directors for many years, I can confidently attest to his dedication to advancing Nuclear Medicine and improving our field. I wholeheartedly endorse Giuseppe for this role and encourage you to consider his outstanding contributions and vision for the future as you make your decision.
Thank you for your time and dedication to our profession. I look forward to an exciting year ahead!
Best regards-
Tina M. Buehner, PhD, CNMT, FSNMMI-TS
