This year marks the 60th anniversary of the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging. As we near the end of the first year of the SNMMI strategic plan I am overwhelmed by the accomplishments we have made. As president of this organization, I have had the unique opportunity to interact and engage with many of our liaison and international colleagues over the past twelve months. Through these interactions, we have gained important partnerships and have been able to take part in several intriguing collaborative opportunities which have opened the door for SNMMI to expand position within the field.
